Face Lift

Face Lift

Facelift is a restorative surgery designed to improve the visible signs of aging in the face and or neck. It will not change your fundamental appearance nor will it stop or reverse the aging process. It essentially removes a number of years of aging by suspending and tailoring the face and neck.

It can treat the following signs of aging; loss of muscle tone in the lower face, loose skin and excess fat deposits under the chin and along the jawline, fat that has shifted or is misplaced, sagging midface and eyelid troughs, and reduce the naso-labial folds. It is sometimes done in conjunction with a blepharoplasty, and usually utilizes liposuction as part of the procedure.

About the Procedure

It is done as an outpatient under both local and general anesthesia with the extent of the incision being determined by the surgical approach required to obtain the maximum result. The results will be long lasting but it may take several months for the post surgical swelling to completely resolve, and the suture lines to mature.
